Niwot Snotel Snow Water Equivalent at Peak Snow Pack for water years 1981 through present. Even if it were to stop snowing this year like it did in 2012- sometimes referred to as the worst fire season in Colorado history- when peak SWE was on March 4th, we could still have enough snowpack for a summer of low fire danger.
