Following the signing a Memorandum of Understanding betweeen the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, Xavier Morise (Director, CNRS office in Washington) and Scott Collins (Chair, LTER Science Council) shake hands to seal the deal at the Embassy of France in Washington, DC.
