NutNet researchers sample soil

The author (right) and Dr. Elizabeth Bach (left) sample soil from the Nutrient Network plots at the Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt (Maxwell, Iowa). I have traveled to Nutrient Network sites in the US Central Great Plains region, including three present or former LTER sites, to sample soil from ongoing nutrient addition experiments.
