A collection of articles from the regional and urban sites of the LTER network are presented in a special issue of the most recent issue of Society & Natural Resources. These papers reflect both the diversity and shared interests for social science and interdisciplinary science among the LTER sites. Topics range from land management in urban and agricultural lands, to drivers of biodiversity and land use change, and perceptions of and attitudes towards water quality.

This special issue is the first collection of social science research from the LTER Network and represents one of the first network wide returns on NSF's investment in long term interdisciplinary research through the LTER program. In the future, we look forward to articles from more of the LTER sites as interest in social science and interdisciplinary research continues to grow and receive support.

You can purchase the special issue via Taylor & Francis here.
