DRYAD Digital Data Repository gets NSF funds to expand

A digital data repository that researchers agree has the potential to transform how science is carried out will be expanded with a $2.18 million grant from the National Science Foundation.

Awarded to the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Metadata Research Center (MRC) of the School of Information and Library Science (SILS), the North Carolina State University Digital Library Program, the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network Office at the University of New Mexico and Yale University, the grant will be used to expand Dryad, a digital repository for the preservation, discovery, sharing and reuse of scientific data.
