A recent article by the Union Tribune (featured online at SignOnSanDiego.com) highlights the ecological and socio-economic controversy surrounding beach grooming—a practice under study by marine ecologist Jenny Dugan of the Santa Barbara Coastal (SBC) LTER and other scientists.
