A creative science communication workshop open to all ecologists, students, educators, artists and communicators will be held on Sunday, August 10, at the 2014 annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America (ESA) in Sacramento, California.
A talented team of ecologist-communicators will lead participants through a series of hands-on exercises in scientific storytelling via audio, video, text, photography, and illustration – using free and accessible tools and apps. Throughout the conference week, attendees will be supported to work in a small team with workshop facilitators and other participants to plan and produce a multimedia project covering some aspect of the science at the meeting. Finished products will be shared in a special series on ESA’s EcoTone blog.
