The LTER Network will once again be very well represented at the Ecological Society of America’s (ESA) 96th Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas from August 7-12, 2011. Complementing the large contingent of LTER scientists and students will be the LTER booth (#521 and #621), which this year will feature banner displays from the Florida Coastal Everglades, McMurdo Dry Valleys, and Palmer Station LTER sites. The booth will be staffed with researchers from the three sites and staff from the LTER Network Office (LNO).

As per recent tradition, LTER will host a special mixer during the poster session on Wednesday, August 10, starting 6 p.m. The special mixer is designed to provide opportunity for LTER folks to interact with a large number of attendees in a relaxed atmosphere, so members of the LTER community attending ESA this year are encouraged to come by the booth to sample our secret treat and meet new friends and potential collaborators.
