An upcoming issue of BioScience magazine may be devoted to the LTER Network.
Three feature articles have been submitted for publication: one co-authored by LTER Chair Jerry Franklin, Caroline Bledsoe (Network Office/NSF) and Tom Callahan (NSF), and two others authored by John Magnuson (Nil) and Fred Swanson (AND) and Richard Sparks.
The articles outline LTER’s contribution to ecological science and the potential for an expanded network of scientists and sites, as well as the temporal and spatial scales of the program.
