GIS Workshop

An LTER-sponsored geographic information systems (GIS) workshop was held in September 1989 at Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins.

The following article summarizes a talk Dr. Bledsoe gave at the January 1990 MAB/UNESCO meeting in Paris (see page 14).

Gearing Up

Rapid changes at the Network Office have become the norm since the move from Oregon State University to the University of Washington last year.

A wide-area networking (WAN) conference was held in April. 1989 at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

An LTER workshop on decomposition processes was held at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Maine, in May, 1989.
