The Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network made a return to the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) national conference after a 6 year absence. The 2013 edition of the annual conference was held October 3-6 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX. The LTER booth and exhibit was set up by the LTER Network Office and staffed by McOwiti O. Thomas (Public Information Officer) and Bob Waide (Executive Director).

SACNAS is a society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of Chicano/Lation and Native American scientists—from college students to professionals—to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in science.
