The National Science Foundation has announced an open competition for $400,000 in program funds for a new Land-Margin Ecosystem Research (LMER) project. Four projects are funded currently. Proposals for the 1992 competition are due January 15, 1992, and awards will be announced in summer 1992. New projects will commence not earlier than September, 1992.
